Roy Hill
Paul Slocombe has extensive experience in health and safety roles, with a focus on the mining industry. Paul is currently the Head of Health and Safety at Roy Hill since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of HSEC at St Barbara Limited from February 2022 to March 2023. From May 2018 to February 2022, they served as the Director HSE at Pacific National. Before that, they held various managerial positions at Rio Tinto, Operations // Mining and Processing // HSE // Improvement // Leadership, and BHP Billiton, where they were responsible for leading the Health and Safety function and managing safety improvement and operations. Paul's work experience spans from 1992 to the present.
Paul Slocombe has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Metallurgical Engineering from RMIT University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Paul also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University, acquired from 1995 to 1997. In 2014 to 2015, Paul pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General, again at Curtin University.
