Rosemary Francis

Rosemary Francis is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in high-performance computing and digital technologies. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering since September 2023, Rosemary also holds a long-term position as a Member of the Raspberry Pi Foundation since 2015. Notably, Rosemary has been the Chief Scientist for HPC at Altair since September 2020 following the acquisition of Ellexus Ltd, where a decade was spent as Managing Director and CEO, focusing on I/O profiling solutions. Additional roles include Advisory Board Member at IdeaSpace and various engineering positions at companies such as Commsonic, Simba HPC, CSR, and Intel Corporation. Rosemary holds a PhD in Computer Architecture and a BA/MA in Maths and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
