Carin Baur has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Carin is currently the Head of Insight and Data Management at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, a role they have held since May 2023. Before that, they worked as the Associate Director of Insight and Data Management at the same organization from January 2019 to May 2023.

Prior to their role at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Carin was the Associate Head of Operations, Development at the Natural History Museum from February 2017 to January 2019. Carin also held positions at Christie's, where they worked as an Associate Director of Marketing from March 2014 to October 2016, and as an Insight Manager of Marketing from February 2012 to March 2014.

Carin's earlier experiences include working as a Market Strategy Analyst at Travelport from February 2011 to January 2012, and as a Market Intelligence Manager and Research Assistant at Reed Exhibitions from December 2006 to February 2011. Carin began their career as a Researcher at Outsell (formerly EPS) from September 2004 to December 2006.

Carin Baur attended Durham University from 2000 to 2004, where they completed a Combined Honours in Arts degree with a focus on Business, German, and Spanish. Carin then attended Henley Business School in 2009 for an Executive Strategy Programme. Prior to that, they completed their A-Levels in Business, German, and French at Lancing College from 1998 to 2000. Their earlier education included GCSEs at St Helen's School, Northwood from 1994 to 1998.
