Bilal Jamal's work experience includes serving as the President Elect of the UK Bone and Joint Infection Society, the Clinical Director for Orthopaedics & Trauma at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, and holding various roles in the British Limb Reconstruction Society, including Digital, Media and Communications officer on the Executive Committee. Bilal has also worked as the Director of Surgical Education and a Member of Council at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, as well as serving on the Trauma Committee of the British Orthopaedic Association. Prior to these roles, Bilal worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Trauma, Foot, Ankle & Limb Reconstruction at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Bilal Jamal completed their MBChB degree in Medicine from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
