Catherine Johnstone

Catherine Johnstone CBE is an accomplished leader in the charitable sector, currently serving as the CEO of Royal Voluntary Service since August 2017, where the focus is on inspiring voluntary service. Previously, Catherine held the position of Charity Advisor at The October Club from January 2016 to May 2018, and served as Chairman of the Directory of Social Change from April 2013 to May 2017. Notably, Catherine was Interim CEO of Migrant Help from March 2016 to April 2017, overseeing the largest charity in the UK supporting asylum seekers and refugees, and was the CEO of Samaritans from 2009 to 2015, leading an iconic charity dedicated to saving lives. Catherine's educational background includes a degree as a Registered General Nurse from West Essex School of Nursing, completed between 1982 and 1985.
