Kat Lilly is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in both academic and applied research. Currently serving as Principal Geoscientist at RSC since November 2021, Kat previously held the position of Senior Geoscientist. A research career began at the University of Otago, with roles as a Research Fellow focused on Antarctic sea ice modeling and an Assistant Research Fellow developing integer compression schemes for large data sets. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientific Officer supporting geological research and analysis. Kat holds a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from The Australian National University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Diploma for Graduates in Computer Science from the University of Otago.
