Rubin Observatory
Kristen Metzger is a Communications Manager for Education and Public Outreach at Rubin Observatory since March 2017. Prior to this, Kristen worked at Reid Park Zoological Society from January 1999 to October 2016, where Kristen held positions such as Education Supervisor and Education Coordinator. Kristen also worked as a Hiking Guide at Canyon Ranch Institute between October 1998 and March 2000. Kristen holds a Master of Arts in Zoology/Animal Biology and Conservation Education from Miami University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Occidental College.

Rubin Observatory
Rubin Observatory will produce the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) beginning in 2025. The survey will image the entire visible sky in multiple colors with its 3200 megapixel digital camera (LSST Camera), probing the mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, and opening a movie-like window on objects that change or move rapidly: exploding supernovae, potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, and distant Kuiper Belt Objects.
