Rubin Observatory
William O'Mullane is currently the Associate Director of Data Production at Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Prior to this, William held various key positions at the European Space Agency, including Head of Operations Development Division and Gaia Mission Manager. William also has experience working as a software technician at Johns Hopkins University and as a software developer at LVS Consulting. William holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Barcelona, an MSc in Computer Science from University College Cork, and a BSc in Computer Science from the same institution.

Rubin Observatory
Rubin Observatory will produce the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) beginning in 2025. The survey will image the entire visible sky in multiple colors with its 3200 megapixel digital camera (LSST Camera), probing the mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, and opening a movie-like window on objects that change or move rapidly: exploding supernovae, potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, and distant Kuiper Belt Objects.
