Vidyananth Balu is a highly experienced engineering manager with a strong background in software development and technical leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Rubrik, Inc. since May 2018, Vidyananth has also held roles such as Software Development Manager at Oracle from November 2012 to May 2018, focusing on NAS protocols and authentication services for Solaris and the ZFS Storage Appliance. Prior to that, a Senior Software Engineer at NetApp contributed to protocol development in clustered ONTAP. Vidyananth began a career in research as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo, working on multi-core processor applications and achieving significant performance improvements. Early experience includes an internship at Analog Devices, programming for audio encoder modules. Vidyananth holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Buffalo State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
