Stephen J. Halliday, CPA, CMA, has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving as Financial Controller at Rutherford Contracting Ltd. since June 2006. Previously, Stephen held similar roles at Wiresmith Displays Ltd. from April 2004 to May 2006 and at GCOMM Marketing from November 1998 to April 2006. Stephen earned a foundational education at Kipling Collegiate from 1971 to 1976 and later attended Ryerson University from 1977 to 1980.

Founded in 1971 as Rutherford Contracting Services, our organization was established by Dick Rutherford as a small civil, renovation, and maintenance contracting company. Despite Dick’s retirement in 1989, our company has continued to thrive under the guidance of both Principals and Management. Today, Rutherford Contracting Ltd. is widely recognized as the preferred contractor for Owners and Consultants in the construction field. As a General Building and Site Development Contractor, we serve the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Our building construction division specializes in educational facility renovations and additions, as well as the restoration of historically significant structures. Additionally, our site development division handles civil and infrastructure contracts, park and athletic sports field construction, trail development, and re-naturalization/habitat projects. To meet ongoing maintenance needs, we operate a facilities management division dedicated to serving our valued clients.
