Josephine Mukanoheli is a seasoned Human Resources professional with extensive experience in various roles within the field. Currently serving as Human Resources Manager at Rwanda Trading Company since August 2021, Josephine emphasizes the importance of managing human capital effectively to enhance business value. Previous experience includes roles as Human Resources Assistant at EMPATHY COLLECTION LLC, where responsibilities included recruiting, policy establishment, and payroll management, and as Assistant Fleet Manager at Transafrica Transport and Containers Ltd, overseeing truck operations and fuel monitoring. Josephine also gained experience in inventory management as a Sector Storekeeper and Sector Supervisor with Abt Associates. Educationally, Josephine is pursuing an International Master's degree in International Human Resources Management and organizations at Rome Business School and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Rwanda, along with an A' level diploma in History, Economics, and Geography.

Rwanda Trading Company was established in 2009 as a vehicle for positive social impact. We are committed to securing economic freedom and security for smallholder farmers by building resilient, transparent supply chains. We believe that profitable and ethical business go hand in hand. Our model is built on trust and communication. From the outset, we have established partnerships with farmers to help them in the field and to work with them to create stability and mitigate risk. We focus on quality and invest in production. RTC offer financial literacy, agribusiness management and agronomy training programs to increase yield and keep them operational, profitable and healthy. We oversee milling, processing and quality control and provide access to the futures market to secure the best prices for farmers. It’s a highly collaborative effort that generates long-term economic stability from the ground up. Our headquarters and dry mill are in Kigali where the majority of our over 200 full-time and 1,500 seasonal employees work. RTC processes and exports 23% of Rwanda’s yearly coffee production. In addition, we own and operate 16 wet milling stations and work directly with over 60 independent wet mills throughout the country to help improve production, quality and to market their coffees around the globe. We service roaster clients throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
