David Shortte has a diverse work experience in the field of sports betting and media management. David started their career in 2002 as the Operations & Media Manager at Greyhounds WA, where they worked until 2005. In 2006, they joined Racing & Wagering WA (RWWA) as the Manager of Player Sportsbetting. In 2010, they were promoted to the role of Media Manager at RWWA, where they currently work.

Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is a dynamic, versatile and commercial organisation that operates in meeting and furthering the needs of the racing and wagering industry in Western Australia. Our purpose is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the WA racing industry and we achieve this goal through being the controlling authority for the three racing codes of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing in Western Australia as well as incorporating wagering through the TAB. We are unique to other racing and wagering jurisdiction across Australia which provides various opportunities and benefits for our customers, the racing industry, employees and stakeholders.
