Prior to this role, Elif served as a Protection Programme Assistant at ARTICLE 19, focusing on freedom of expression and journalist safety, and also worked as a Programme Coordinator at English PEN, managing residency programs for international writers. Additional experience includes internships at Amnesty International and The AIRE Centre, engaging in legal research and advocacy within human rights frameworks. Elif holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, an LLM in International Human Rights Law from Koç University, and an LLB from Bilkent University, supplemented by an exchange program at Binghamton University.
