Josée Monette

Josée Monette is an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience in strategic HR roles across various industries. Currently serving as Vice President of People at SSENSE since 2022, Monette previously held several key positions at Walmart Canada from 2013 to 2022, including Vice President of Human Resources for Eastern Canada and Senior Director of People & Head of Employee Experience. Earlier experience includes serving as Human Resources Director at CBC/Radio-Canada and Pepsi Bottling Group, where key responsibilities involved talent management, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness. Monette's career began at Nortel as a Labour Relations Advisor, and foundational knowledge in Labour-Management Relations was obtained from McGill University with a BCom degree.
