Hernan R. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Hernan started their career as an Electronics Technician at Laboratorio Sync in 1998. Hernan then worked as a Data Entry and Technical Support at ANSES in 1999 before joining Arnet - Telecom Argentina as a Help Desk technician, where they provided assistance and troubleshooting to customers' computer issues and Internet access.
In 2000, Hernan joined TeleTech as a Help Desk representative, providing support on WAN links and developing an Intranet for Impsat (now Global Crossing). Hernan later became a Technical Support specialist, providing hardware and software support for Mitre site workstations, and trained teams for new off-shore programs.
In 2003, Hernan became a CTI & IVR Specialist and Software Developer at TeleTech, acquiring experience in IVR development and administration for the US Visa Information Services program in Latin American countries. Hernan joined the XPAND Corporation in Reston, Virginia, USA in 2005, contributing their expertise to the development of a self-service Appointment system for US Visa Information Services.
Hernan's next role was as a Managing Partner at Postres Balcarce S.A. (Franchise) from 2005 to 2008.
In 2005, they returned to TeleTech as a Technology Manager, leading the IT solution for the start-up of international off-shore programs and automating processes to achieve cost savings. Hernan also created several tools and solutions to automate processes, resulting in three solutions being selected for pursuing a US Patent.
Hernan joined Biblos Travel in 2010 as an Information Technology Manager, where they re-organized and developed the IT department, implemented ITIL-based management, and adopted cloud computing and open-source solutions.
In 2012, Hernan became the Information Technology Senior Manager at Biblos / Avantrip.com, leading the incorporation and digital transformation of Avantrip.com. Hernan focused on tiered IT support and multidisciplinary teams to improve technology services delivery.
Their most recent role is as the CTO at S1Gateway since 2017. Hernan built a DevOps team and culture, implemented a CI/CD pipeline, improved the Delivery Process, and provided tools for better autonomy and visibility on applications and infrastructure.
Throughout their career, Hernan has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on process improvement and cost savings.
Hernan R. completed their education in a chronological order. Hernan started their education at Instituto La Salette, where they obtained the degree of Electronics Technician from 1991 to 1996. Following this, they attended Universidad Tecnológica Nacional from 1998 to 2003, where they pursued degrees in Electronic Engineering and Systems Engineering. Lastly, Hernan R. attended Universitas Estudios Superiores from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in Systems Analyst with a field of study in Information Systems.
In addition to their formal education, Hernan R. also obtained several certifications. Hernan completed the "GDPR Compliance: Essential Training" certification from LinkedIn in April 2018. In September 2017, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, namely "Managing High Performers" and "Performance-Based Hiring."
