James Lesser

James Lesser is the Chief Executive Officer of NewSpace Finance, providing financial and corporate advisory services specifically for the Space sector since September 2019. In addition to this role, James Lesser is a member of the UK Defence Investor Network and the Space Finance Working Group at Satellite Applications Catapult, both initiated in 2022 and 2023 respectively. James Lesser has also served as a mentor for the CDL Space Stream at Creative Destruction Lab since January 2022, and holds the position of Non Executive Director at Mineral and Financial Investments Ltd since January 2018, as well as Managing Director at Tono Resources since June 2018. Previous experience includes managing director positions at Chalkstone Political Risk Management and various director roles in mining equities at HSBC, Fairfax I.S. PLC, and Seymour Pierce. James Lesser's educational background includes a graduate program in Commercial Space Studies from the Florida Institute of Technology, an executive course in Oil, Gas & Mining Governance from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Bristol.
