Shane O'Leary

Shane O'Leary is an experienced professional in operations and management, currently serving as the DISC Operations Manager at Satellite Applications Catapult since February 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing DISC capabilities. Previously, O'Leary held the position of Operations Manager at Future Blends Ltd. from December 2011 to September 2018, focusing on the development of renewable transport fuels and ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Prior roles include Organic Laboratory Manager at Environmental Scientifics Group, where O'Leary managed workflows and financial targets from February 2002 to December 2010, and two postdoctoral research positions at Cardiff University and the University of Oxford, specializing in catalysts for VOC destruction and novel nanocomposite materials, respectively. O'Leary earned a PhD in Chemistry, specifically in Organometallic Chemistry, from University College Dublin between 1990 and 1994.
