Andrew Wheatland

Andrew Wheatland is an experienced engineer currently serving as a Secondary Systems Engineer at SA Power Networks since February 2013, focusing on protection, control, and automation for the distribution grid and enhancing DER capacity through efficient asset utilization. Previous roles at SA Power Networks include Substation and Planning Engineer, responsible for asset management and maintenance strategies for high voltage substations, and Graduate Engineer specializing in distribution planning and smart grid automation technologies. Andrew's earlier experience includes customer service roles at BIG W and work experience in electrical engineering at International Power, where involvement in generator-related duties and engineering tasks was prominent. Andrew holds a degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide and completed secondary education at Cabra Dominican College.
