Carlos Pereira

Carlos Pereira currently serves as Chief Scientist in Automotive Technology and Innovation at SABIC, overseeing projects related to engineering thermoplastic applications in the automotive sector since September 2014. With a substantial background in aerospace, Carlos worked at RUAG Aviation from February 1998 to February 2014, holding roles such as Senior Project Manager and Head of Experiments and Structures Division, where significant projects included the IXV Atmospheric Re-entry Structures and several facilities on the International Space Station. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Application Engineer and Technical Service Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company, focusing on composite materials and thermoplastics, as well as a Technical Sales Engineer at Didier Refractories Corporation. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and furthered education at Technische Universität Clausthal, Germany.
