Dr. Paul Phooko

Dr. Paul Phooko is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in civil aviation and law enforcement. Currently serving as the Manager of Civil Aviation Exams at the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) since 2017, Paul has previous experience as a Captain in the Engineering Avionics Section and an Avionics Apprentice with the South African Police Service (SAPS) from 2011 to 2017. Paul's career in SAPS began in 2003 as a Police Officer. Educationally, Paul holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, an MBA in Business/Managerial Economics from Regent Business School, and several additional qualifications in management and avionics, showcasing a robust background in both technical and managerial disciplines.
