Kamau Maina is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of big data, business intelligence, and technical project leadership. Currently serving as the Big Data & CVM Tech Lead at Safaricom PLC since June 2021, Kamau is responsible for executing the company's strategic roadmap in technical delivery, alongside financial management tasks such as budget planning and vendor management. Previously, Kamau held the position of Manager of Business Intelligence at Commercial Bank of Africa from April 2018 to May 2021, where responsibilities included leading the BI team and overseeing the development of BI platforms. Prior roles include serving as an SAP Business Intelligence Consultant at EIM Solutions Ltd, a Technical Project Lead at Indra, and various positions at Manchester College. Kamau holds a Master of Science in Business Intelligence from Birmingham City University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Manchester University.
