Candyce Davis is a highly experienced Child Welfare Specialist with a career spanning over two decades in various roles focused on child welfare and support services. Currently employed by Mecklenburg County since November 2007, Candyce has held positions including Child Welfare Specialist II in Adoptions/Recruitment and Senior Social Worker in Permanency Planning and Child Protective Services. Responsibilities have included creating specialized adoption plans for foster children, supporting families in foster care, and conducting safety assessments. Additionally, Candyce serves as a Client Care Specialist II with Safe Alliance, providing assistance to families affected by domestic violence. Previous experience includes work with the Georgia Department of Human Services in roles that involved investigating child abuse allegations and determining eligibility for public assistance. Candyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Human Services from Capella University.

Safe Alliance
We provide hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. We provide a continuum of vital crisis services for survivors through our programs: the Greater Charlotte Hope Line, a free, confidential 24/7 hotline for Mecklenburg County residents; a 120-bed Domestic Violence Shelter; our Sexual Trauma Resource Center; and our Victim Assistance Court Program. We provide survivors with safety planning services; case management; counseling and support groups; court advocacy/accompaniment; and legal representation.
