Alessandro Marinelli has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the retail industry. Alessandro started their career in 2005, holding multiple positions in different organizations, including Area Manager North East South Europe & Africa at Ferragamo Parfums and Area Manager Europe & Australia at UnoAerre S.p.A. In 2013, they joined Safilo and served as Export & Eastern Europe Branches Manager, where they successfully increased brand awareness and drove sales growth through effective sales and marketing strategies. Alessandro then became Head of Travel Retail APAC and Greater China, where they diversified the brand portfolio and resolved pricing challenges in the Asian market. From 2018 to 2020, they served as Head of Global Travel Retail, creating and executing a global Travel Retail strategy to meet corporate targets. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Gran Vision Global Channel at Safilo, overseeing various departments and enhancing brand awareness through marketing campaigns. Alessandro also ensures compliance with stock exchange regulations by presenting related party matters for approval by the Board of Directors.
Alessandro Marinelli obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with Specialization in Budget & Control from Universita Studi di Siena. Following this, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Currently, they are participating in the Kellogg Executive Education Program, focusing on Digital Marketing Strategies involving data, automation, AI, and analytics.
