Mariska King has a strong background in finance and auditing. Mariska started their career as a Trainee Clerk in PwC South Africa and worked there for three years. During their time there, they gained experience in auditing and accounting compliance. Mariska then progressed to the role of Manager, specializing in Retail and Consumer as well as Hospitality and Entertainment. Mariska was responsible for supervising and managing diverse audit teams, coaching junior staff, and building strong relationships with clients. In 2014, Mariska transferred to PwC United Kingdom as a Manager, where they continued to demonstrate their expertise in the retail and consumer industry. Mariska joined PwC's office in South Africa again in 2016 as a Senior Manager, leading various engagements. Currently, Mariska is the Head of Finance and Director for Safilo in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Mariska'sroles involve overseeing financial operations and providing strategic decision-making at a divisional level.
Mariska King obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting from the University of Pretoria in 2008. Mariska also attended St Mary's Diocesan School for Girls Pretoria from 2005 to 2010. In 2009, they returned to the University of Pretoria for an additional year of studying Accounting, completing another Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
