Alex Kent is a seasoned professional in nonprofit management with extensive experience in cultural competency training and program development for aging services, particularly focusing on the LGBT community. Currently serving as the National Projects Coordinator at SAGE since April 2008, Alex has successfully replicated the SAGECAP program in Baltimore and established the Maryland Training Initiative, benefiting over 400 providers. Previous roles include Program Manager for Community Services at SAGE, where Alex led numerous programs and strategic initiatives. Earlier positions include Event Associate at Global Impact Productions, Pride Coordinator at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, and Contracts Associate at Scholastic. Alex holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management from New York University and a BA in Theater Studies from Yale University.

SAGE
SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, provides education and technical assistance for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations through its National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, and cultural competence training through SAGECare. With staff located across the country, SAGE also coordinates SAGENet, a growing network of affiliates in the United States.
