SAGE
Christina DaCosta has a diverse and extensive work experience. Christina currently serves as the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at SAGE, where they lead the organization's marketing and communications efforts to promote positive images of LGBTQ+ life in later years. Christina is also responsible for creating and scaling national consumer initiatives that enhance the lives of LGBTQ+ older people. Prior to their current role, Christina was the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at SAGE and held positions as a Senior Digital Strategist, Director of Communications, Assistant Director of Communications, and Online Media Manager. Christina also briefly worked at Hudson Chocolates and Jeunes Virtuoses de New York (JVNY) as a Social Media Specialist. Additionally, they have experience as a Public Education Manager at SAGE, where they developed educational materials and collaborated with program staff to ensure effective outreach and marketing materials.
Christina DaCosta attended Somers High School from 1995 to 1999. Christina then went on to enroll at New York University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from 1999 to 2003.
SAGE
SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, provides education and technical assistance for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations through its National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, and cultural competence training through SAGECare. With staff located across the country, SAGE also coordinates SAGENet, a growing network of affiliates in the United States.
