SAGE
Michael Adams is an accomplished leader in the field of LGBTQ+ advocacy, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) since June 2006. With extensive experience in various roles, Michael previously directed education and public affairs at Lambda Legal, managing a team focused on communications and community education. Michael's earlier positions include serving as Deputy Legal Director at Lambda Legal and Associate Director of the Lesbian & Gay Rights and AIDS Project at the ACLU Foundation, where significant litigation work was accomplished. Michael began legal career as a Litigation Associate and has held various roles focusing on constitutional litigation and public interest law. Michael earned a JD/MA from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University.
SAGE
SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, provides education and technical assistance for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations through its National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, and cultural competence training through SAGECare. With staff located across the country, SAGE also coordinates SAGENet, a growing network of affiliates in the United States.
