SAGE
Sam S. is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in program management and education. Currently serving as the SAGEPositive Program Manager at SAGE since June 2023, Sam previously held roles as Program Coordinator and Intergenerational Programming Administrator at DOROT from July 2021 to June 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Field Organizer for the New Hampshire Democratic Coordinated Campaign, a Classroom Teacher at Ansche Chesed, and a Research Intern at The Earth Institute, Columbia University. Additional roles encompass being a College Fellow for Mondaire for Congress and a Residential Teaching Assistant with the Freedom and Citizenship Initiative. Sam's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbia University and studies at the Rothberg International School, Hebrew University.
SAGE
SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources to LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, provides education and technical assistance for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations through its National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, and cultural competence training through SAGECare. With staff located across the country, SAGE also coordinates SAGENet, a growing network of affiliates in the United States.
