Vijay Janarthanan has extensive experience in various technical and managerial roles. Vijay is currently working as the Senior Director of Solutions Architecture at Sagility.
Before joining Sagility, Vijay worked at Cigna from 2015 to 2022 as a Senior Manager in Application Development. Their responsibilities included directing application development and delivery, collaborating with business units to assess technical needs, recommending solutions, and translating functional requirements into technical specifications.
Prior to Cigna, Vijay worked at LiquidHub from 2010 to 2014 as a Solutions Architect/Consultant. Vijay led document imaging solutions development, evaluated project requirements, and ensured scalability and sustainability of solutions.
Vijay's career began at HTC Global Services in 2001, where they held multiple roles. As a Technical Lead from 2005 to 2010, they managed technical support and system deployment, translated business requirements into technical specifications, and trained end-users. Prior to that, they worked as a Development Team Lead/Senior Programmer Analyst from 2001 to 2005, conducting software analyses, leading innovation and design, and contributing to database design.
Vijay Janarthanan completed their education in a variety of fields. Vijay obtained a B.Sc in Physics from the University of Madras in 1999. Vijay then pursued an M.Sc. in Information Technology at Alagappa University from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, Vijay completed a Software Engineering Program at HTC Global Services in 2001 and a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering (HDSE) at Aptech Computer Education from 1997 to 1999. Vijay also graduated from Don Bosco, Egmore for their high school education. Moreover, Vijay has earned several certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, SAFe 4.0 Agilist, Certified Scrum Master, and more.
