Michael Dawson

Conservation Education Liaison at SAINT LOUIS ZOO

Michael Dawson has worked at the Saint Louis Zoo since October 2002. Michael initially started as a Naturalist Instructor and later became a Conservation Education Liaison in January 2014. In this role, they served as an education and conservation resource to the Herpetarium, Insectarium, and Education department. Additionally, they have also worked as an Adjunct Full-Professor at Webster University since January 2011.

Michael Dawson earned an Associate of Science degree in Zoo Animal Technology from Santa Fe College in 1997. In 2000, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from The University of Toledo. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Education degree with a Biology Emphasis in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, which they obtained in 2007.
