Valter Orlandi is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and technical management, currently serving as Direttore Tecnico at Salchi Metalcoat Srl since October 1998. Previously, Valter held the position of Site Manager at PPG Industries from 1997 to 1998 and worked at BASF Vernici e Inchiostri as Direttore Tecnico e di Produzione for container coating from October 1981 to November 1997. Education includes a Laurea in Chimica from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, obtained between 1971 and 1976.

Salchi Metalcoat is a dynamic, reliable, technology and customer oriented Italian Company. We are specialized in the production of coatings for Metal Packaging, Caps & Closures, Aluminum Tubes & Monobloc, Coil and Foil. Since the very beginning Salchi has been a family-owned company. Our history starts in 1993 as a joint venture between the German company Rhenania, a subsidiary of Altana, and Salchi S.p.A. At that time, the coil and packaging coatings activities of Salchi S.p.A. were transferred into the newly established Salchi Rhenacoat. In 2004 Rhenania has sold its shares to the Italian partner, which is renamed Salchi Metalcoat. Today our production is based in Burago di Molgora, near Milan (Italy) where we passionately work every day thanks to our 180 employees. Although our roots are Italian, we have a strong international presence, and we bring the experiences we gather around the world to our customers, to help them become real market differentiators, because their success is our success.
