Eirik Eide Pettersen

Co-founder & CTO at Saltfoss Energy

Eirik Eide Pettersen is the Co-founder and Reactor Lead Engineer at Seaborg Technologies, focusing on the development of next-generation energy sources for a sustainable future since January 2017. Previously, Eirik served as a Visiting Research Intern at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI, where a thesis on multi-physics simulations of Molten Salt Fast Reactors was presented at the IAEA FR 2017 conference. Eirik also participated in the European Master in Innovation in Nuclear Energy program organized by InnoEnergy and collaborated with Chalmers University of Technology on reactor core simulations. Eirik holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Energy from Université Paris-Saclay, a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Københavns Universitet. Additionally, Eirik is currently enrolled in the EMINE Energy Management Summer School at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
