Emily Deffenbaugh is currently the Director of Product at SAM Labs, where Emily also serves as the Product Owner of SAM Studio. Emily is dedicated to improving the K-8 coding platforms for educators, students, and administrators. Prior to this role, Emily worked as an Elementary Educator at Chandler Unified School District, where Emily taught fourth grade at a Title I school and kindergarten/first grade. Emily holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from Arizona State University.

They will use logical reasoning to write algorithms, incorporating variables, inputs and outputs. Using the blocks and app, they will learn to control and simulate physical systems.
