Laura Spoelstra currently serves in the Marketing and Business Development Team at KAPPA Engineering since May 2023. Laura has extensive experience in the field of capacity improvement and equity, serving as the Regional Capacity Improvement Officer, Deputy Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Samaritans since January 2017. Previously, Laura held the position of General Manager at Arford Henderson Law Solicitors from November 2018 to August 2023. Laura's expertise also includes significant roles within fertility organizations, acting as Chief Executive of the National Sperm Bank and the National Gamete Donation Trust, where impactful advancements in donation policy were achieved. Furthermore, Laura contributed to various ethical discussions regarding donor conception and information disclosure through positions with the Nuffield Council on BioEthics and the UK Department of Health. Laura's career also includes experience as a communication and sales skills trainer from January 2007 to July 2011.
