Amit Banerjee is the Founder Director/Secretary of SAMPARC, a role held since June 1990, dedicated to educating and empowering over 600 marginalized children annually in India. Banerjee served as the Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee in Pune from July 2005 to June 2011, successfully resolving more than 3000 juvenile cases. In earlier roles, Banerjee contributed to the establishment of Antarbharti Balgram, an orphanage near Lonavla, and led a Bhoodan Land Development Program in Bihar, assisting the rehabilitation of marginalized communities. Banerjee began career efforts as Relief-In-Charge for flood relief in West Bengal. Educational credentials include a Master's in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service, a Graduation with Honors from Bankura Christian College, and an M.Phil. in Social Work from The Global Open University Nagaland.

SAMPARC is non-profit organisation working across India and supports wholesome development of the orphan as well as underprivileged children. We have 7 children’s homes (Orphanages), 2 schools for Tribal and Rural Poor children, 758 poor, needy community children for education support. Regularly 450 School dropouts are supported through Vocational Training and Skill Development. We ensure access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, overall safety, high standards of sanitation, water and comfort, exceptional recreational facilities and an environment of zero abuse and neglect. In last 26 years, more the 485 children have been rehabilitated with our intervention in 4 states. We have been awarded with PRESIDENTIAL AWARD for Best Child Welfare Activities in the year 1997.
