Joss Nichols has a diverse background in the legal field, with experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2004, Joss worked as a Legal Intern at NHL Enterprises L.P. In 2005, they were a Summer Associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges. From 2006 to 2008, Joss served as an Associate at Irell & Manella. They then worked as a Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit from 2008 to 2010. Following this, Joss joined Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans & Figel as an Associate from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, they became an Intellectual Property Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Joss worked as a Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division. They then joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, focusing on Cyber Crime, from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, Joss has been at Samsara, starting as the Director of Legal and later being promoted to Senior Director.
Joss Nichols completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Iowa between 1995 and 2000. Following that, Joss attended Columbia Law School from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law.
