Youngsun Kim

Youngsun Kim serves as the Senior Director of the MSAT Technical Excellence Team at Samsung Biologics, overseeing mRNA process development and tech transfer, as well as analytical method development and qualification. Previous roles include Senior Director positions in various teams within Samsung Biologics, where responsibilities ranged from troubleshooting mAb tech transfer to managing drug product tech transfers and providing leadership in high-level technical discussions. Prior experience includes significant contributions at Kashiv BioSciences as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader, where process optimization for mAb biosimilars was led, and at VaxInnate Corporation as Senior Research Scientist and Upstream Lead, focusing on the production of recombinant biologics. Early career experience includes leadership in protein engineering and regulatory affairs at Access Bio and research and teaching at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Youngsun Kim holds a Ph.D. and MS in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University, as well as an MS and BS in Food Science and Engineering from Korea University.
