Samuel Gu

Samuel Gu currently serves as the Head of Samsung NEXT Korea, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this, Samuel held various roles at Samsung Electronics, including Director of New Business Project within the Corporate Management Office, where responsibilities included identifying new business areas such as gaming, metaverse, and biotech, and managing the establishment of the Samsung Life Science Fund. Samuel also worked as Senior Manager of BD and M&A at Samsung NEXT, focusing on corporate development strategy and partnerships in gaming, metaverse, IoT, and food tech. Earlier experience at Samsung Electronics involved product innovation and global partnerships, contributing to significant developments such as the world’s first Windows tablet and Samsung's first gaming laptop. Samuel holds an Executive MBA from Seoul National University and a BA in Public Administration from Yonsei University.
