Cassandra Ortiz-Nelsen is a dedicated research professional with a robust background in health-related fields. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at Family Health Centers of San Diego since January 2024, Ortiz-Nelsen previously worked at Ivy Fertility, where responsibilities included preparing intrauterine insemination samples and operating endocrine assay instruments. Experience as a Research Assistant at Linked Fate Data Collective involved data analysis using SPSS to address issues in underserved communities. Additionally, roles at the American Lung Association and San Diego State University provided valuable skills in volunteer coordination, community outreach, customer service, and conflict resolution. Educationally, Ortiz-Nelsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from San Diego State University.
