Daniel Dietmeyer

Daniel Dietmeyer serves as the Team Lead for Transmission Protection, Automation, and Control Engineering at San Diego Gas & Electric since September 2013, focusing on overseeing engineering designs and regulatory compliance for transmission and substation systems. Daniel co-founded and co-chairs the VALOR Veterans Council, promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives. Previous roles include Senior System Protection and Controls Engineer, responsible for wildfire mitigation projects and microgrid technology, and Senior Electrical Engineer in real-time operations for the Bulk Electric System. Daniel's career also includes positions at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems and United Technologies, as well as a background in the United States Marine Corps. Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Professional Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
