Nancy Stewart currently serves as the Vice President of People Operations at San Diego Wave Fútbol Club, overseeing HR, payroll, IT, legal, and player safety functions. Previously, Nancy was the Owner/Consultant at Talent Alchemists, where the focus was on developing high-performing teams. As General Manager and Sr. Vice President of Human Capital Management at Integrated Practice Solutions, Nancy successfully managed full P&L responsibility and led initiatives that significantly improved profit margins. Experience also includes roles as VP of People Operations at Pathway, where Nancy built the people operations department and managed HR functions during rapid organizational growth. Founding Savvy HR, Nancy provided recruitment and HR consulting to numerous high-tech clients. Additional roles span HR management, training, and recruitment across multiple organizations including FICO™, and American Management Systems. Nancy holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia, an MA in Counseling from the University of San Diego, and is pursuing a Certificate in Sports Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

San Diego Wave Fútbol Club (NWSL) is a professional soccer club. Our ambition is to establish an organization that stands as the leader in women’s professional sports. Our goal on the field, to consistently compete for championships, will be matched by our desire to unite, and serve our community. We will create a world class home for our supporters and build a team that they will be proud to call their own. Our Leadership Team The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced in June 2021 that San Diego will be home to an NWSL expansion team, set to begin play in Spring 2022. Jill Ellis, the only two-time FIFA Women's World Cup winning manager and a former FIFA World Women's Coach of the Year recipient, serves as President of the San Diego NWSL team while England standout and former Manchester United Women’s Manager Casey Stoney serves as the team’s head coach. Wave FC is owned by investor Ron Burkle. In the club's first season in 2022, Wave FC made history not only as the first expansion team to make the playoffs, but also the first expansion team to win a playoff game. On the way, San Diego broke both the NWSL regular season and playoff attendance records.
