Bree Mawhorter

Bree Mawhorter currently serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) since November 2022. Prior to this role, Bree held the position of Deputy Director of Finance and Administration at the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure from July 2015 to November 2022, managing a substantial budget of $565 million. Bree's previous experience includes positions as Deputy Director/CFO at the San Francisco Sheriff's Department and various roles within the SFMTA, including Revenue Accounting and Administrative Policy Manager and Revenue Policy Analyst. Bree has also contributed as a legislative aide and budget analyst for the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors and served as an analyst with Bay Area Economics. Educationally, Bree holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Art History from Tufts University.
