Avani Patel serves as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Strategic Priorities at Pacific Foundation Services, a position held since December 2021, while also working as a consultant through Avani Patel Consulting Services since September 2020. In this consulting role, Avani collaborates with various philanthropic, educational, and nonprofit organizations, providing support in organizational assessments, strategic planning, and DEI initiatives. Previous experience includes leadership roles at the Peery Foundation, where Avani was Co-Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Director, as well as educational positions at Ravenswood City School District and San Francisco State University. Avani holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Francisco State University, a Master’s in Education from Alliant International University, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African & African American Studies from the University of California, Davis.
