Hannah Stroud is a Jill Hruby Postdoctoral Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories, where responsibilities include designing and conducting parametric studies to evaluate the impact of mesoscale geometric features on the ablation performance of thermal protection systems. Prior to this role, Hannah served as a researcher at Texas A&M University, focusing on shape memory alloys and leading the REvolutionizing Diversity Of Engineering (REDO-E) project. Experience includes mentoring undergraduate researchers in the NUANCED Lab, developing outreach activities, and working as a teaching assistant for Precalculus for Engineers. Previous internships include research and development at Fort Wayne Metals, mechanical engineering roles at Insitu Inc., and various research positions throughout academic tenure. Hannah holds a PhD, MS, and Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
