Mike Rutter

Mike Rutter is an accomplished retail executive with extensive leadership experience in various roles within the food retail sector. Currently, Mike serves as Managing Director at Sandpiper CI, overseeing both retail and food retail operations since February 2018. Prior experience includes positions as Director at M J Rutter Associates Ltd, Managing Director at Marks and Spencer (Jersey), and various senior roles at Somerfield, where Mike led business transformation, supply chain operations, and category buying. With a background in commercial strategy developed through roles at Sandpiper CI Ltd and MRRS Ltd, coupled with foundational skills in buying and operations from Manx Shoprite, Mike Rutter has built a strong career rooted in retail management. Educational qualifications include a BEng in Chemical Engineering from London South Bank University and further training at London Business School.
