Verónica Collado Ciprés is an accomplished Industrial PhD student at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya since February 2020, while also serving as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Sandvik Coromant from November 2016. In this role, Verónica specializes in materials design and sintering of hard metals, focusing on the development of novel cutting tools and the production and testing of cemented carbide microstructures. Prior experience includes a Stagiaire position at Institut FEMTO-ST, where Verónica worked on nano-structured vanadium oxide thin films for gas sensors, and an internship at Port de Barcelona, contributing to the Quality Brand Efficiency Network. Additional roles include project management assistance at ADELTE Group and mentoring first-year university students in thermodynamics and inorganic chemistry at Aula Lliure. Verónica's educational background encompasses multiple degrees in materials science and industrial engineering from prestigious institutions such as Luleå University of Technology and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, among others.
