Simon Kocur

Simon Kocur has a diverse work experience, starting with their role at Colorado State University as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in 2007. Simon then joined ams OSRAM in 2008, where they worked on a Engineering Diploma Thesis and made significant contributions to the development of a novel RGBG-LED source for mobile projection applications.

In 2011, Simon joined Menlo Systems as a Production Engineer in the THz-Business Unit, before moving on to roles as an International Sales Manager for the Femtosecond Fiber Laser Group, a US Western Regional Sales Manager, the US Director of Sales & Service, and eventually the General Manager. Simon'stenure at Menlo Systems lasted until July 2023.

Simon's most recent position is at Santec Corporation, where they are currently serving as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, a role they started in September 2023.

Simon Kocur has a diverse educational background. Simon completed their Executive MBA from USC Marshall School of Business from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Photonics from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2011. Before that, they pursued a German Engineering Diploma in Microsystems Engineering from Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg from 2004 to 2009. Additionally, Simon had a brief academic experience at Colorado State University in 2007, specializing in Physics.
