Kathy McKie

Kathy McKie, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as the Senior Manager of Compensation & Benefits at Santee Cooper since February 2022, overseeing strategic planning and administration of compensation and performance management functions. Prior to this role, Kathy held the position of Human Resources Director at DMEA - Delta-Montrose Electric Association, managing comprehensive HR functions from May 2018 to December 2021, and served as HR Director at Montrose County School District and Montrose Memorial Hospital, where responsibilities included policy administration and employee engagement strategies. Additional experience includes roles in various organizations, such as Director of People Services at GeoStabilization International®, Administrator at Dallas Creek Water Company, and Human Resource Generalist at Frontier Oil. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources from Colorado State University and an MBA in Human Resources Management from Columbia Southern University.
