Eugene Lau

Eugene Lau has extensive experience in the energy sector with a focus on revenue recovery, currently serving as the Head of Section at Sarawak Energy Berhad since January 2017. In this role, Eugene manages the issuance of electrical arrears for Syarikat SESCO Berhad, which oversees electricity transmission, distribution, and retail in Sarawak. Prior to this position, Eugene held roles as a Senior Executive and Executive in Smart Meter Installation and Service Excellence, respectively, where responsibilities included analyzing operational performance metrics and consolidating data for performance monitoring. Eugene began his career with internships in Service Excellence and Health & Medical Services at SESCO, supporting audit initiatives and employee performance enhancement. Earlier experience includes working as a Sales Promoter at Shin Sun Mi Korean Market. Eugene holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Exeter and has completed studies at the University of Nottingham Malaysia and Sunway College.
