Markus Frey has a wide range of work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Markus started their career as an Auszubildender at Bayer in 2003, where they gained foundational knowledge in the field. Markus then worked as a Chemielaborant at Rentschler Biopharma SE from 2006 to 2012, before joining Octapharma Biopharmaceuticals GmbH as a Research Associate until 2014.
In 2014, Markus Frey joined Sartorius Stedim Biotech and took on various roles within the company. Markus started as a Projektleiter and worked on projects until 2018, when they transitioned to the role of Team Lead Process Engineering Upstream. In 2019, they became the Manager of Process Consulting & Engineering. From 2021 to 2022, they served as the Head of Process Engineering BPS Systems. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Product Development Bioreactor Technologies.
